  1. I have a bad habit of thinking of the worst case scenario...I think everything is Cancer. Back pain can be caused by MANY things, alot of them not serious. See a doc ( if they dont freak you out like they do me)..and NEVER go to webMD..they say everything is cancer
  2. The vast majority of cases of upper back pain are due to one (or both) of the following causes: Muscular irritation (myofascial pain) Joint dysfunction Upper back paincan occur as a result of trauma or sudden injury, or it can occur through strain or poor posture over time. As an example of the latter cause, in recent years, upper back pain has become a familiar complaint from people who work at computers most of the day. Often, upper back pain occurs along with neck pain and/or shoulder pain. :
  3. It might be a bulging disc,a slipped disc,a strained muscle or a wide range of other things. I've got a rib that slips in and out of its socket around the mid area and it can really hurt. My bulging discs and degenerative disc disease and degenerative arthritis is all painful as well. One of my sciatic joints slips out at times and this can be extremely painful. there are so many back problem possibilities to name,it would probably take many pages to fill. The best thing you could do is let a professional diagnose it and stop worrying. There's been a lot of advances in this area. Good luck and feel better soon.
  4. Visit this site on back pain. Yes it is in Australia but you will find it informative to your injuries. http://www.blackchiropractic.com.au
  5. The most common cause for upper back pain is bad posture! I've been on my physiotherapy placement for 3 weeks now, and this is by far the most common problem I have seen.
