Back Pain

awful back pain - causes?

I have had a bad back for about a year now after playing sport and my doctor just said to rest it. Now I have been lifting boxes at work. I got home and the pain came back although not much at around 1:30pm and stayed constant until about 10pm when it got a little worse Then at 11:30 the pain became hardly bearable and if I walked I got terrible pain on the right hand side half way down which caused my body to tense up and sometimes to jolt. It hurts to breathe in deeply now and It took me about 10 minutes to walk 2 meters. Now, I am in bed and it is still feeling tense and sore in the same place Please help :)

  1. yes, rest it too much exercise can make your muscles too tense if you don't give it time to relax/recover bend down with your legs, and pick up the box and slowly get up buy a rice heat pad- heat it 45 seconds-a minute, place it where your back hurts take advil/tylenol go to a doctor
