Back Pain

How can you relieve upper back pain?

I'm a teenager and since about June or July my upper back but only on the right side have been aching. Lately it has started to be more disturbing and i find myself stretching all day at school because i sit for so long. It kinda feels like i REALLY need to crack my back but i just can't.

  1. idk.well......
  2. The two best thing to do for upper back pain is first relaxing with a hot pack on the place you feel the pain and the other GREAT thing you can do it asking some one to massage a muscle relaxant cream on the same area after the hot pack ....both will really get your muscles relaxing and the pain will ease little by little....for fast relief ...depending on your age a muscle relaxant pill does magic but you have to consider the side effects it come with like the extreme drowsiness and feeling your limbs heavy for a day ..other than that the first two options are just great...try them for two day and try to refrain from cracking you back cause that way you will just strain your muscles more ..good luck
  3. I use a tennis ball or baseball and lay on the floor with the ball under the part of the back that hurts. This is like giving yourself a massage and the hardness of the ball will help break up the muscle bundle that might be the problem. Warm packs or a warm bath is good. Stay away from muscle relaxants at your age. You may want to consider seeing a chiropractor. Stretching gently will also help.
  4. If you have any cash go to a drug store or Wal-Mart and get yourself a heating pad. You can lay down on this pad and turn it on whenever your back bugs you.
