Back Pain

My big stomach causes me back and side pain when I lay down. I exercised and i loss weight still have stomach.?

I have lost weight but my stomach is still the same size (big) it causes me back pain and when i lay down it causes me alot of pain. Should I consider a tummy tuck? but not sure if my insurance will pay for it.

If your back is exposed, there is a great possibility you are getting a draft on your back, which causes back and side pains, which in my experience has made it almost impossible to do anything but sit up. I don't think it's related to your weight. Try making sure your back is covered completely when you're sleeping.
  2. ask your insurance company if they would cover you getting surgery to cut out some of your stomach and if they do consider trying that. that will lower your stomach size which then you will lose your back problems.
  3. It is true that your back pain can be a cause to your back pain but you don't need to undergo a tummy tuck just to get rid of the pain. The best way you can do is introduce in your daily exercise routine some sets of strength, flexibility, and muscle activity that actually fixes the root cause of back pain.
