Back Pain

How do you relieve a back pain caused my a pinched nerve?

My mom's back pain is probably caused by her car accident a few years back. She's had 3 cortisone shots 2 years ago and now the pain is coming back. I've read up on stretches, massage the muscle...etc......is there any other method that anyone has tried that might help? She's taking aleve every day and thats not gonna be good in the long run. Thanks so much.

  2. I have the same problem i get a lot of relief from lying on a heat pad . hope she feels better soon
  3. I got rid of mine when I freed up my back muscles for nothing else did anything to help at all. Here's how to free up the muscles to get rid of the pain: Back: (do from a sitting position) Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. For best results relax the body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
