Back Pain

Lower right back pain causes?

Today I noticed some pain in my right back, just a couple inches above my hip. It not in my abdominal or stomach are, so I'm almost positive that it's not appendicitis. From pictures I have looked at on google i think it's my kidney, but I'm not sure. If it is my kidney, what could be some causes?

1. Hey, It could possibly be a kidney infection? I suffer with them quite frequently, go to the doctors where they will do a test and prescribe you with some medication. If not, go to the doctors anyway and Im sure they will tell you the problem Hope you feel better soon :)
2. Yeaaa have the doctors or er test you for a kidney infection/kidney stones/and uti... I went to the er for the same exact thing last wed.!, I thought it was my kidney,and it turned out I had a sprained back..I did nothing and my back is sprained I know..wtf..lol But sometimes uti's if they are bad can cause back pain too. Good luck
3. kidney problems from diabetes? Avoid sugar. get a glucose meter and check your blood sugar on your arm. 80-120 is normal.
