Is lower back pain a sign that things are growing during pregnancy?

Im thirteen weeks pregnancy, just started experiencing lower back pain on my left side. Only been happening for about a week, its not bad at all just like a trapped nerve, a little uncomfortable at times but nothing more than that. I just wondered if this could be a sign of baby/uterus growing? Any past experience or knowledge about this would be appreciated.. thank you!

1. yes, as your baby grows you feel more pressure on your lower back as all your organs ae stretching.
2. kidney problems from diabetes? Avoid sugar. get the a1c test.
