Back Pain - Dull upper back pain during pregnancy?

Dull upper back pain during pregnancy?

I am 32wks pregnant and for the past 2 days i have been getting a really bad dull back pain just in one spot on the right side of my upper to mid back. It hurts like crazy and it won't go away. Is this normal during pregnancy? And has anyone else experienced this? I have heard of lower back pain being common in pregnancy, but not upper back pain. I have also tried lots of remedies to ease the pain like heating pad, tylenol, my husband giving me a back massage, laying down in different positions with pillows, and nothing seems to work.

That is when my friend was actually in labor. If the pain worsens by tomorrow go to the emergency room. She had all back labor, and got to the hosp. just a few hours before giving birth.
May be the position the baby is in. We all usually hurt in our lower back around this time of pregnancy. If you start hurting to the point that your breathing faster and gripping on to items as hard as you can to ease the pain, you may be in labor. Hope this helps
