- Back aches & pains in early & even late pregnancy are cause by stretching Ligaments & growing Uterus.
- there are MANY things that cause pain during pregnancy. as long as it's not unbearable then there's nothing to worry about...it could be from the growing of the uterus, it could be swelling, it could be the spreading of your hips (caused by the weakening of ligaments by a hormone called relaxin), or a pinched nerve...back pain is VERY common in pregnancy and there are many causes, some unknown, so like i said, unless its unbearable then dont worry about it...if you want, maybe call your doctor and tell them what's going on, they will be the best help...you're going to come across many weird pains and discomforts while pregnant, its all a part of it and it's all normal as long as it's not severe, unbearable pain/discomfort.... hope you feel better... good luck. http://www.babycenter.com/0_low-back-pain-during-pregnancy_9402.bc
- I'm also concerned that at 8 weeks you are having back pain. Lightheadedness and dizziness are expected in the first trimester. Talk to your doctor about your back. This could be a sign of kidney infection. Best wishes and congrats!
- There are a lot of misc. things that can cause back pain. I have a retroverted uterus (tilted towards my back) and it causes me back pain. Talk with your doctor and share your concerns. I'm sure everything is fine though. Take tylenol if it becomes to painful. Hope this helps!
- I am not a woman, so I am not the best resources for this perhaps. There may not be a cure for back pain during pregnancy, but you may be able to find relief through chiropractic care. I ran across this website that may be a source of information for you to look up. Hope this helps.
- Experts describe two common patterns of low back pain in pregnancy: Lumbar pain occurs in the area of the lumbar vertebrae in your lower back, and posterior pelvic pain is felt in the back of your pelvis. Some women have symptoms of both types of low back pain. Lumbar pain is like the low back pain you may have experienced before you were pregnant. You feel it over and around your spine approximately at the level of your waist. You might also have pain that radiates to your legs. Sitting or standing for long periods of time and lifting usually make it worse, and it tends to be more intense at the end of the day. Even more pregnant women have posterior pelvic pain, which is felt lower on your body than lumbar pain. You may feel it deep inside the buttocks, on one or both sides or the back of your thighs. It may be triggered by activities such as walking, climbing stairs, getting in and out of a tub or a low chair, rolling over in bed, or twisting and lifting. Positions in which you're bent at the waist – such as sitting in a chair and leaning forward while working at a desk – may make posterior pelvic pain worse. Women with posterior pelvic pain are also more likely to have pain over their pubic bone.
