Does sitting on wallet causes back pain?

yes, to both -the sitter and the wallet.
If it gives additional push on your buttocks, and directly under it is your sciatic nerve, it might.. They say putting wallet at the back of your pants, is one of the causes of lower back pain and later leads to being diagnosed as Sciatica..
Yes, it certainly can. Not all sitting on wallets does it, but in particular positions and wallet size it can. I slip mine around to the side when I'm driving to prevent it happening.
